This book was written to provide a comprehensive overview of water distribution system modeling, analysis, and design. In some ways the book is specifically intended for modelers and water system designers; however, it also provides non technical people with an overview of the complexities and issues involved. Managers, engineers, planners, computer experts, and water system operators will see points of common interest. Some people will be more interested than others in some sections of the book. This book was written in the spirit of promoting the state of the art and in an effort to provide insight into using computer tools to design, analyze, and operate a water system more efficiently and effectively.
